Streatham Jewish Cemetery, also known as Rowan Road Cemetery, opened in 1915 and serves the West End Great Synagogue Burial Society, with South London Liberal Synagogue also burying here since 1968. Many graves belong to Ashkenazi families once connected to Soho’s tailoring and cabinet-making trades, alongside a number of Jewish war graves from the Second World War. It is now open for reserved plots only.
Access: Administered by the Western Charitable Foundation on behalf of the West End Great Synagogue Burial Society. We follow burial-society rules and never work on Shabbat or Jewish festivals; the cemetery itself is open Sunday to Thursday and Friday mornings only.
