Putney Vale Cemetery and Crematorium covers 47 acres between Putney Heath, Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park. It opened in 1891, with the crematorium added in 1938, and has two chapels, a large Garden of Remembrance and a Screen Wall Memorial. The grounds also hold 184 Commonwealth war graves, including those of six VC holders.
Access: Day-to-day management is by Enable Leisure & Culture on behalf of Wandsworth Council. The cemetery has both a Church of England and a multi-denominational chapel, and includes Commonwealth war graves that are separately maintained under military conventions.
