The Huguenot Burial Ground in Wandsworth is a small, walled historic garden between East Hill and Huguenot Place, used from 1687 to 1854 by Huguenot refugees. Its surviving monuments, including a weathered pedimented memorial and a 1911 name plinth, need careful, conservation-minded cleaning. We carry out stone-safe work here in line with its locally listed heritage status.

About Huguenot Burial Ground, Wandsworth

This walled burial ground beside St Mary Magdalen RC Church was used from 1687 to 1854 by Huguenot refugees who settled in Wandsworth as hatters and textile workers. It is closed to new burials, but survives as a locally listed historic garden, with its handful of remaining monuments still cared for and visited.

Access: Managed by Wandsworth Council as a locally listed historic park and garden. Only a handful of monuments survive, including one largely illegible memorial, so any cleaning is careful, minimal and conservation-led rather than routine.
