GreenAcres Epping Park at North Weald is a natural burial and ceremonial park rather than a conventional cemetery: there are no upright headstones, and families are remembered with memorial trees, tree circles and bordered memorial bays. The work here is careful plaque and marker cleaning and bay upkeep, done gently and in line with the park’s rules.
About GreenAcres Epping Park
A 52-acre natural burial and ceremonial park on Kiln Road, North Weald, just outside the M25 to the north-east, opened in the early 2000s and used by families across north and east London. Memorialisation is through Living Memorial Trees, Tree Circles and bordered Memorial Bays rather than conventional headstones.
Access: Privately run by the GreenAcres Group, so any memorial work is agreed with the park team. As a natural burial site, planting and ground cover are managed to protect the setting, and only the memorial types the park allows may be cleaned or tidied.

Permission: memorial work here is governed by GreenAcres Group. In practice the registered grave owner’s consent is what we ask for, and we work to the site’s own memorial rules — see their memorial guidance, or our guide to who needs permission to clean a grave.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have a grave cleaned at GreenAcres Epping Park?+
Yes. We provide professional, stone-safe grave and headstone cleaning at GreenAcres Epping Park, following the cemetery’s regulations. Just give us the section and grave reference and we’ll do the rest.
Do I need to be present?+
No. We only need the cemetery name and plot reference. We send before-and-after photographs and a short report when the work is done.
How much does grave cleaning at GreenAcres Epping Park cost?+
A single headstone clean starts from £75 and a full grave clean from £85, depending on stone type, condition and access. We always provide a free, no-obligation quote first.
There is no headstone — what is there to clean at a natural burial park?+
Quite a lot, in practice. Memorial bays, tree plaques and markers collect leaf mould, moss, bird mess and green algae, and the lettering fills in until it is hard to read. We clean the plaque or marker itself and tidy the bay, working within the park’s rules so the natural planting around it is left as GreenAcres intends.
